Dynamic restart with participation in the Gastronomy Festival “Taste of Paris 2021”!

What is Feta PDO? How is it different from other white cheeses? Why should I choose it?

The European Feta PDO Promotion Program “Feta PDO. Let’s get real!”, implemented by ELGO DIMITRA in the markets of France, Germany and the United Kingdom, returned energetically to provide answers to all the above questions, with a very successful participation in the “Taste of Paris 2021” Gastronomy Festival. After a suspension period due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  catering professionals, chefs, foodbloggers and the whole world of European gastronomy met from 16th to 19th September 2021, at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris for a unique journey into the world of cooking and taste.

The event for the promotion of Feta PDO attracted the interest of many visitors, showcasing the unique features of the original product through the Masterclass live cooking show, held on Friday, September 17th, by the Ambassador of modern Greek cuisine and distinguished chef from the gastronomy institution Gault & Millau of France, Dina Nikolaou.

At the beginning of the event, Mr. Emmanuel Stantzos, General Adviser of Economic & Commercial Affairs at the Greek Embassy in Paris, addressed a greeting and then it was time for chef Dina Nikolaou, who spoke about the unique way of making Feta PDO cheese and the fact that the European Feta PDO is the only authentic feta which is exclusively produced in Greece!

The chef created traditional recipes combined with modern creative cuisine, with Feta PDO at the leading role, as a key ingredient in modern gastronomy. At the end of the presentation, the audience had the opportunity to taste Feta PDO in individual portions of the recipes that were shared, but also receive free samples of Feta PDO for their own kitchen experimentation!
